Hallo, ich bin gerade nach Norwegen gezogen und mein Hund bekam in den USA eine fettarme Diät auf Rezept (aufgrund einer Pankreatitis, die sie bekommen würde, wenn sie normales Hundefutter fressen würde). Das Futter musste von einem Tierarzt verschrieben werden.
Ich habe ein bisschen mitgebracht, aber jetzt, da ich in Norwegen bin, habe ich mich gefragt, ob ihr Hundefutter wie in den USA nur auf Rezept erhältlich ist. Ich glaube, ich habe es online verkauft gesehen und einen Link eingefügt. Es ist Hill’s Prescription Diet Digestive Care i/d fettarm. Wenn jemand hier Erfahrung hat, können Sie mir bitte sagen, ob ich einen Termin bei einem Tierarzt machen muss, um mehr im Laden zu kaufen? Tusen Takk!

Have you already visited a store like Musti or PetXXl where you can check if the food is available? Just ask a shopworker.
I think most veterinarians sell these, and I don’t think you need a prescription. Vet grade food is usually only available at the vets office.
I don’t know how helpful this is but I buy this same „prescription“ Hill’s brand of food in the UK for my dog and whilst I do buy it through a vet’s office, it is no longer on prescription. So in our case, in the UK, the same brand of „prescription“ food is available without a prescription from some stores but most easily accessible through a vet’s office where I live.
So basically the food itself is not **only** available on prescription so I would guess that if you are able to find it for sale in Norway that the prescription isn’t important.
You don’t need a prescription. My dog uses Hill’s j/d and I buy from dyrlegeshop.no, vetzoo.no or dyrekassen.no Pick up at the nearest Posten or PostNord. You can also buy it at the local vet, but the price is usually higher.
