Hallo,

    1. Shower and hot water is using electricity, so better plan a bit more electricity bill. I always adjust my bill because i have the same system. Radiator have usually another heating system and use a seperate Water cycle. In my apartment its a central Gas Heating it boils water and when you turn the radiator it allows th water circulating its running in all apartments and if you use the radiator there is a counter for usage.

The maintenance technician who installed the new one at our apartment advised setting it as low as possible. This way, you’ll need to turn your faucet to maximum heat. Otherwise, you’ll end up mixing too much cold water with the hot, which will increase your costs over time.

    3. Water Heaters with a small tank are commonly used for the kitchen sink, so that when you want to do your dishes you would have „a sink load of hot water“ ready.

Water Heaters like yours without a tank have a powerful heating element which heats just on the go. Basically endless hot water for a shower.

The radiators in your rooms are usually not connected to these devices but there is often a large boiler in the basement to provide hot water for general house heating.

I once had a combination of all these devices in an apartment I was living.
