You can talk with him first. Although you can check where the problem comes first. If it’s from the pipes, most probably they fix something and the owner is not responsible.
But if you want to burn money and time, sure, go to the lawyer and sue him 🤦
It can happen. Just run the water and it will be back to normal. I had that problem in two different place. The first time was when I came back from holidays after about two weeks
Usually nothing to worry about. Happens at our place too and they tested the water recently, everything is fine and water quality is excellent. It can be due to iron and old pipework, we’ve been drinking it for years and have no health issues, neither do our neighbours.
Talk with the rental agency / owner, to find out what is going on, if it worries you. Suing sounds really unproductive in this case unless you can prove from official testing that the water has higher amounts of dangerous things in it than it should.
Don’t drink the water from the sink, drink it from the tap. Duh.
