Bevor ich anfange: Nein, ich bin kein amerikanischer Ami. Ich habe die britische und irische Staatsbürgerschaft und kann das auch rechtlich nachweisen. Ich habe bereits einen EU-Pass und die Möglichkeit, eine dritte Staatsbürgerschaft zu erlangen, ist kein großes Ziel von mir.
Ende letzten Jahres ist meine Großmutter gestorben. Ich ging mit meiner Familie ihre juristischen Unterlagen durch und stellte fest, dass ihr Vater nie auf ihrer Geburtsurkunde aufgeführt war. Aus diesem Grund beschloss ich, einen DNA-Test zu machen, um zu sehen, ob etwas herauskam. Und siehe da, ja, das tat es! 41,8 % Skandinavier. Ich habe meine Familie danach gefragt und sie waren genauso überrascht wie ich. Ein bestimmtes Mitglied meiner Familie hat alles abgestritten, was es behauptet, und weigert sich, meine Fragen zu beantworten oder selbst einen DNA-Test zu machen.
Reddit, gibt es in Norwegen eine offizielle Möglichkeit, einen DNA-Abstammungstest zu machen, um möglicherweise mehr über meine Abstammung herauszufinden?

I think around 10% Scandinavian is normal for British/Irish people, due not only to the Vikings, but a lot of contact with sailors, fishermen, etc.
Uk and Scandinavia are basically the same stock back a couple of hundredyears ago due to the Vikings. This won’t tell you much, I’m afraid.

No, there are no DNA registers that you can use. The only ones I know of are medical databases, where you will not get any information, and criminal registers, where you will not get any information.
