In combat situations currently, you’re only really held accountable for your actions if your buddies report you to higher ups. Usually you have to do some really monsterous stuff for that to happen because of the culture of soldiers and comrades in arms and all that. Robots on the other hand, won’t have that but they will have those with financial interests looking to diminish any failures and highlight successes. Will be interesting to see how much that really effects the reporting of their civilian deaths.
