Hallo zusammen, dies ist eine ziemlich neue Situation für uns und wir wissen nicht wirklich, was wir tun sollen.
Ich habe unser Auto im Keller unserer Wohnung geparkt und unser Platz ist neben einem Pfosten. Ich habe nicht bemerkt, dass ich zu nah dran war und ein lautes Geräusch gehört habe. Anscheinend habe ich den Pfosten berührt und jetzt sind Kratzer an der Tür.
Welche Schritte muss ich unternehmen? Das Auto ist auf den Namen meines Mannes zugelassen, aber sowohl er als auch ich sind als Fahrer in unserer Versicherung eingetragen. Muss ich das melden? Mit welchen Konsequenzen muss ich rechnen?
Und wie schlimm sieht es aus und wie kann man es reparieren?

Do you have a Vollkasko insurance?
well you have three options:
1. you claim that damage at your insurance. depending on the coverage of your insurance they will pay for it. this will most likely increase your insurance fees.
2. some insurances just pay you the money if you say you don’t want to get it repaired, pretty good thing if you can fix it on your own or if you don’t plan to fix it since it’s an old car anyway
3. you pay out of your own pocket for it and get it fixed and don’t involve your insurance to avoid increased insurance fees. hard to tell how expensive that repair is and if that’s actually a good idea,
do you own the car? shouldnt really be a problem because it looks like very minor damage but you can of course go to Werkstatt and let them check it out
if you report to the insurrance, your rates will go up. 20 years ago, I calculated that a damage up to 900 and something in € is worth to consider paying out of your own pocket to avoid the additional insurrance costs over the years. This is probably higher now. But it also depends on your specific insurrance policy.
This looks minor. i would leave it, or find some cheap and small repair shop to do this affordable. This can easily cost 4-digit sums if you take it to an official dealer.
It’s minor. I am not sure if it’s practice in germany, but there is a polishing compound it will reduce it little and blend in.
But do check your tire. There seems to be a scuff on it
