I hope they will so this with Kond sometime.
They were just starting it when I was there about three months ago. Good to see they’re making progress, it’s a super cool idea and the neighbourhood deserves it.
Great initiative. Armenian cities need to reignite its long lost architecture.
However, it saddens me that while we are returning to our “traditional roots” our architecture has not advanced into modernizing these older styles since the fall of the first republic, and for the most part we have adopted currently western culture.
It would be great if the second step of the initiative is to expand from the scope from tourism, and rebuild the town of Meghri in a modern Armenian/Meghri architectural style for the people.
It looks great, is this the same place in one of Pashinyan’s videos? where they said they are using duff stones? afaik the duff stones (for buildings) are more soft than hard.
