This is like a super old recipe for special bread that doctors used to give people who had seizures a long time ago. It has secret stuff in it called bromide that was supposed to make the seizures stop. It’s kinda like medicine but in bread form! It even tells you how much to eat so you don’t eat too much of the secret stuff.
If you transcribe what the note says. I cant read it at all.
Seems like some kind of wheat bread sandwich. Kinda hard to make out the different kind of ingredients other than „kli“ and „hvete“. Both are types of flour.
It also said you should wait seven days before consumption and that it’ll last three years I think? Probably not correct, but I find it hard to make out many of the words.
It says „Epileptikerbrød“ and is recipe and instrucitons on baking the bread an how much to eat. The person should eat this bread, morning and night for at least 3 years as a „regular sandwich“ (open faced sandwiches, probably) as a treatment for epilepsy. The amount of sodium bromide can be reduced if there as been no seizures for 1 year. Really fascinating! The underlined part says to not add any salt.
Tried to transcribe, people are more than welcome to fix lol
epileptikerbrød
1/4 kg vetemel
-vetegrøp („hvetegrøpp“)
30 gram brom natrium
gjær og vann, ikke saltes
spises på 7 dage noeagtig („nøyaktig“?)
like meget morgen og aften
altså 1/4 del af brødets
vækt morgen og aften
minst 3 år spises som
almindelig smørbrød
Brom. kan minskes når
anfallene har varet borte
1 år

It was used to treat epileptic patients, but had severe side effect
Thank you all so much for the answers! This is truly fascinating! It was a bread indeed and a medication! My Norwegian is not so bad after all! 🤗
