People always comment on how short summer is in Finland but it doesn’t feel like that to me coming from the UK. It’s also about quality not duration. For example this year we’ve had beautiful weather since May and pretty much continued since. It’s so much better than the UK IMO. Beautiful blue skys and sun v grey clouds, rain and humid heat in the UK. I can live with cold winters and a beautiful winter wonderland for that.

A single swan looks a bit sad. At this time of the year I’d expect to see two adults and 4-6 younglings.
