Hallo zusammen

Hello Mexican here also in Finland, nothing to worry about just be a good member of society and people will be nice and kind 🙂 just dont hope people to be overfriendly as in Mexico took me a while to adapt to that 😅
Err, most people wouldn’t be able to figure out that you are from Mexico, unless you have it printed in your shirt or something.
You could be anywhere from South Europe, so you don’t really stick out.
Maybe 20 years ago you would catch a couple stares, but nowadays in the big cities you’ll blend in as a minority.
Tips.
Go to archipelago boat cruise, do visit some of the nature parks.
When going out into nature, use a lot of insect repellent, local mosquitos are known as the Finnish Air Force for a reason.
Oh and Finnish tourist guides suck, the most curious museums are way too obscure.
There is one person which has made his task to map them out.
The site is in Finnish so use Google translate.

Remember not to touch anyone’s belly without asking! It’s not acceptable here, especially not bears!
German in finland here. Im from southern germany and also feel the stare when I had been to the northern parts of germany. People up there have something weird in the water or something that makes them always miserable and never put on a smile. So when they see someone that’s visibly happy, they envy you.
In finland on the other hand, everyone is so busy with themselves that they probably wouldn’t look at you if you were on fire. So come and visit, enjoy the clean air and the food that is free from flavour.
One thing to know in Finland is that there’s a lot of people (especially older) who stare at literally everyone when passing by. Just don’t think of it as some kind of special treatment if you do come here.
I think in Germany you just received the famous German stare-basically people just stare at everyone there. They do not mean it in any good or bad way.
I would not look twice at you on the street, necessarily wouldn’t even notice you. Maybe I’d take a look at your shirt more closely if it’s as „loud“ as that purple with butterflies, but nothing in a negative way.
So as long as you’re not overly loud and respect others people (which I’m assuming you’d do) you have nothing to worry about.
Oh finland is an amazing place, just come here. Nobody will do anything, people here respect others a lot.
Which one is Mexican in the picture?
„Tervetuola!“ Y bienvenida! 🥰
There is big groups from Mexico and the rest of Latin America in Finland all the time.
Welcome and I’m so sorry what has happened to your nation’s food here. If you ever try it I wonder if it’ll make you laugh or cry.
I’m an Englishman and spent lots of time in Tampere, it’s Finlands second largest city and a great place to visit, the people are great but you will find most of them very tall, and they also, well the one’s I met on my travels like to eat and drink oh, and dance, „proper dancing“ mind you, not the stuff where you dance on your own. I was Married to a Lady Finn for over 35 years until she died, and now I’m back in England. So go, you should enjoy it.
Bienvenido a Finlandia 🇫🇮♥️🇲🇽
