Can you tell me more about Erebuni? Are there still ancient sites or buildings I could visit?

    2. You should add Verin and Nerkin Navers, which are important archaeological sites dating to the Bronze Age near Ashtarak. The oldest horse bits were found here. Karashamb in Kotayk, another archaeological site dating to the Bronze Age that had a royal sepulcher. Metsamor, which was an important Bronze and Iron Age site that the Urartians invaded due to its wealth, and it subsequently became a mixed Urartian-Etiunian cultural community. Also, Lchashen, which was the Iron Age city of Ishtikuni, and I believe where they found the oldest preserved wagons.

Edit: I should mention: The ancient site at Lchashen also had a gridded street system, which I believe is dated to around 1600 BCE. This highlights some degree of advanced city planning (and for perspective, this was some 700 years before Urartu).
