Hallo, ich möchte von Frankfurt nach Berlin und habe dieses Ticket gebucht. Aber da steht, dass es nur von Leipzig nach Berlin gültig ist. Übersehe ich etwas?

  2. The first Part is nightjet (NJ) and you most likely did not book the night jet Part of the journey.

Super Sparpreis Aktion is only valid for routes up to 3-4 hours. And for ICE IC/EC trains. So your ticket is only valid for trip between Leipzig and Berlins for the other one you need to book a separate ticket apparently.

  4. Obviously, you`ve missed the “route section price” note that explains that part of the journey is not included in the price. Cancel if you have just booked it or buy a separate ticket to Leipzig.

  5. The trip from Frankfurt Süd to Leipzig is one train running as three different products: NightJet (NJ), Euro Night (EN) and Intercity (IC). Only for the latter DB can sell tickets directly – the others are operated ÖBB (Austrian Railways) that only sell their own tickets for them.

When booking the connections, you had unfortunately chosen the trip that has RJ or EN as part of the trip and therefore does not include this leg.

When you booked the ticket, it said “Route section price” on the list of journeys. This is not excellent English – the German version of this message makes a bit more sense – but if you’d clicked on the link or any of the details buttons it would’ve shown precisely what you were buying.

You will need to buy a separate ticket for the nightjet. If you’re happy sitting in a seat, you can book it from Frankfurt(Main)Süd to Leipzig under train number IC 60409.

  7. When booking the ticket, it you were shown (somewhat prominently but not **SCREAMING IN YOUR FACE**) that this is only a “route section price”, i.e. the ticket you are buying only covers part of the planned journey.

If it’s been less than 12 hours since you booked, you can do an “instant cancellation” even for fares that are ordinarily not refundable. See [https://int.bahn.de/en/booking-information/exchanges-refunds](https://int.bahn.de/en/booking-information/exchanges-refunds) for details.

You can then go back and instead book a ticket that includes the IC part of the nightjet (which, unlike the NJ and DN parts, can be sold on bahn.de), or book a ticket where you spend the whole trip in the NJ (arrival at 8:00) through oebb.at (or book an entirely different trip, or decide not to travel after all, …).

You can, of course, also just buy an additional ticket for only IC 60409 from Frankfurt to Leipzig, or for the same section in NJ 409 or EN 40459 (these two are sold only on oebb.at). But that’s probably not going to be cheaper than cancelling making a completely new booking, and therefore only recommended if it’s been more than 12 hours and you can no longer cancel.
