Hallo! Ich checke das Wetter immer unter YR.NR aber ich habe mich immer gefragt, wofür genau YR steht? Ich konnte es nicht selbst herausfinden!
Grüße aus Chile, Ihr Wetterdienst ist hier ziemlich beliebt!

Yr is like a light misty rain. It’s not like fully raining but misty out.
The transition between skies and rain. Often used when it is very light rain as well.
Yr is the norwegian word for drizzle
Yr is a norwegian word and means misty rain that is too light to be called rain and too heavy to be called mist
As others have pointed out, it’s not an acronym, it’s a word. Significa algo como “llovizna”.
If you add the Norwegian word for the season “spring” in front of it – it means “horny”.
As said directly translated it means drizzle, rain with very small rain droplets. It also means giddy as in “Yr av glede” (very happy). So it’s a play on words since yr has two meanings and can be both a noun and an adjective.
[YR.no](http://YR.no) is great!
Thank you for all your responses! I couldn’t find anything because I was looking for it as an acronym, so Meteorological Institute wasn’t a good fit 😂
