    2. It shows the coat of arms of Ludwigsburg, and the text says: „Presented by the city of Ludwigsburg“ and „Founded 1709“ (this is the official date of the founding of the city).

      I’m guessing this was part of some sort of award or medal presented on some occasion. The fact that the date is so prominently featured makes me think this may have been in connection with an anniversary: 1959, for example, would have been the 250th anniversary of the founding of the city. I would normally expect the occasion to be explicitly stated, though, so this really is just a guess.
