      And more accurately; it’s a cultural thing to diffrentiate hard boiled eggs from normal fresh eggs, to color them.

      Overflow inventory, i suppose. Maybe some Kids like them eggs coloured all year around.

      The question is rather: Why not!?  

       Not that I’m buying them. I manage to boil an egg. I’m somewhat of a genius myself. 🙂

      Hard boiled eggs are sold like that here 1) to differenciate them from raw ones 2) to extend shelf life as the color coating replaces the natural “insulation” of the unwashed raw egg’s shell (which in turn is why we can keep raw eggs at room temperature) 3) because they are more fun that way.
