It just says that you had to pay tax on the shipping cost, and that shipping cost was apparently 65 CHF. Just because they rolled the shipping cost into the total cost you paid doesn’t mean it’s actually free..
Perhaps an error, i would ask for clarification
Why are they taking 8.1% of 131? The value was 48.86 in CHF? Even adding 65 for Portkosten gets you to 113…
But this is such a joke, paying more than 50% of the good cost in additional fees. Why I order to Germany or make sure to order on sites that already pay the import duties.
You might not have paid for the shipping, but shipping is never free, someone else simply paid for it
Now if I understand you correctly USD 54.39 is already the cost of the item + shipping. If so they just invented a number for shipping because they can. That’s the „service“ you pay 17.90 for.
You can contest if, but there might be an f-you fee associated with doing so, depending on who you’re contesting with (Post? UPS? DHL?)
had this happen to me before. sent them the documentation proving that they added the shipping twice via email, was told it was sorted, still got additional invoices. complained again, got an invoice again. just ignored it and eventually they stopped. not sure I would recommend you may just get into more trouble that isn’t worth the 28.50, but who knows maybe I was just unlucky and you can clear it up in a phone call
The CHF65 does not even matter in the final calculation. I am more curious about the CHF131 figure. Where does that come from? Is it the value of the product on the local market?
They fucked up that’s why.
Write an angry e-mail and get the money back.
I fail to see where additional Portokosten show up.
It’s fees for customs handling and VAT, as far as I can tell.
