A couple of crucial rules to use these bins (which we often see violated):

      1. Flatten the cardboard/paper boxes!
      2. Flatten the plastic bottles!

Just a couple of seconds of your time, but this way more waste can fit in the designated bins, thus preventing premature overflowing of both the bins and the waste collection vehicles, making the system more efficient.

You can find the bin locations at:

and citizens of Yerevan have the ability to submit requests for separate waste collection bin placements:

The map and the form from [yrvn.am](http://yrvn.am) are also embedded at Yerevan municipality’s „Կանաչապատում և Շրջակա Միջավայրի Պահպանություն ՀՈԱԿ“’s official website:

P.S. Mods, if you need a proof, we can provide documents showing that the collaboration between Ecoparsec NGO (yrvn.am authors) and the Yerevan municipality is official, and that the map we created is integrated with the „Կանաչապատում և Շրջակա Միջավայրի Պահպանություն ՀՈԱԿ“.

Thanks to this they finally put one close enough to my home so I can start using these.

    5. I never understood the point of designated trash cans in countries that don’t have recycling facilities and infrastructure. Sure it helps for sorting but what’s the ultimate point if everything goes into 1 single big bunch of trash?
