From the video I like it more than from the images posted before
What exactly makes this Armenian? It is bland, soulless, bare and has nothing distinctively Armenian about it. I could’ve forgiven everything if there was some Armenian motif there, smth that would make you go „hell yeah, this is Armenian as they come“.
Severely disappointed. Even the Soviet buildings in Armenia have more character than whatever this will be…
Looks very minimalist yet very beautiful. I had some doubts when I saw the pictures but after watching the video it catched me. The panoramic view from the concert hall 🤌🏻
I don’t really like the design, although I find it acceptable. Why don’t they have a competition in which architects present their projects and Yerevan residents themselves choose the one they like. For such an important monument I think it would be worth it. although for me it is enough to finish it at once and add more trees.

This seems like a fitting way to finally finish off the top of Cascade. The proposal could have more intricacy, or have something more Armenian about it, but I am glad that they kept it subtle. The landmark is Cascade, not the building at the top, and this project respects that.
I just wish they would have an open design competition to invite the world’s top studios to give proposals instead of whatever ambiguous way they are picking architects now.
why not hire armenian artists? even armenian-american would be fine, im sure many come from LA that would do a much nicer job that random french
It just looks like your average modernist building. I mean, almost anything is better than the current unfinished state of the cascade, but it’s definitely disappointing to see just another boring, copy-paste building you can find in almost any modern city take the place as one of Yerevan (and by extention Armenia’s) most popular tourist sites :/

It’s nice, but should be more ambitious. The view and location is incredible. Should be all open Roman style amphitheater also

Definitely on the bland side, but I get that they had to make it coordinate with the fairly minimalist, Soviet structure below.
I wish they could incorporate some arches. Culturally we use them extensively and it could have a degree of tie in with Kentron.

Why are we bringing some French architects. Did we suddenly lose every Architecture department in Armenia?? Did a sinkhole open up to gobble all our architects, leaving only the bourgeois idiots and their French compatriots.
And those on the side of Cascade, I am assuming are residential buildings. Probably will be worth both my legs and arms to buy. I already said this in the other thread. The buildings you see **there is one I know that looks just like it here in Lebanon**, also has “close ties” with France, btw. From work, I know each floor costs 1-2 million dollars.

Too generic, but acceptable in general. To be completely honest, I would rather make here some hipster place with cafes and etc rather than another museum (as if the museums inside the stairs are not enough), since you become tired after you climbed all of this. And pulpulak with toilets should be mandatory on top. Thanks that it is not a mall, hotel or Dodi Gago palace at least
Regarding modern architecture, I would build something more unique, rather than traditional. Or combination of both.
The only thing that needs to be changed is that disgusting communist monument. It’s a dedication to Armenia losing it’s independence and being incorporated into the USSR
Whoever wants to keep that garbage is the enemy of Armenia’s independence. The rest looks fine though, anything would be better really
