Meine Mutter hat sich vor kurzem einen Nagelbohrer gekauft und die deutsche Bedienungsanleitung hat mich umgehauen

Übersetzung: „Ich habe die Waffe vergessen, Arschbohrer“

Wie konnten sie das so vermasseln??

It’s obviously on purpose. It’s written in colloquial dialect as well.

    3. The English translation is also not great. I don’t know what language this was translated from, but they clearly didn’t believe in spending a lot of money on their translators.

In a couple of places it looks as if the translator just gave up („Das ist so ein handbuch aus kreativdateien“), while other mistranslations seem to have been caused by blindly looking up words in dictionaries. Whatever the original translation was, it seems that the words for „mainframe“ is the same as the word for „host“ (hence the German „Gastgeber“) and whatever the word was supposed to be (I assume it’s the main part of the device itself, to which everything else is attached, which makes sense of „host“).
