Ich bin israelischer Jude und habe mich seit fast 10 Jahren über die Armenier informiert. Ich bin ein großer Metal-Fan und meine Lieblingsband ist System of A Down, die mich zum ersten Mal mit dem Völkermord an den Armeniern bekannt gemacht hat. Unter meinen Freunden bin ich bekannt als "Armenophiler Nerd" eigentlich … bringe ich die Themen Völkermord und Krieg mit Aserbaidschan immer zur Sprache, wenn wir über Politik diskutieren.
Ich wollte nur sagen, dass ich total untröstlich bin. Wirklich, das bin ich. Es ist so deprimierend für mich, dass wir, das jüdische Volk und der Staat Israel, auf der falschen Seite der Geschichte und der Gerechtigkeit stehen. Wir, die wir einen Völkermord durch das deutsche Regime erlitten haben, leugnen den Völkermord eines anderen Volkes. Wir, die versprochen haben "nie wieder" und wir denken, wir seien ein liberales und demokratisches Regime, statten in Wirklichkeit eine Diktatur mit Waffen und Nachschub aus, die für ethnische Säuberungen in Arzach bestimmt ist. Ich weiß wirklich nicht, was ich tun soll. Es fühlt sich an, als sei der Krieg im Gazastreifen außer Kontrolle geraten. Ich verstehe wirklich, warum die Armenier, die sich von meinem Land betrogen fühlen, jetzt auf der Seite der Hamas und der ganzen Pro-Palästina-Bewegung stehen. Mir scheint nur, dass die Beziehungen zwischen unseren Völkern einen Punkt erreicht haben, an dem wir nie wieder Freunde sein können. Das macht mich einfach wahnsinnig.
Ich wünschte, ich könnte etwas tun … Das Mindeste, was ich tun kann, ist, diesen Beitrag zu veröffentlichen … Damit ihr wisst, dass wir existieren, Israelis, die euch lieben und zutiefst angewidert sind von der Geopolitik. Ich sehne und bete für den Tag, an dem die Knesset (das israelische Parlament) den Völkermord von 1915 endlich anerkennt. Ich sehne und bete für den Tag, an dem wir alle Waffenlieferungen nach Aserbaidschan einstellen. Es ist auch so verdammt dumm, wie wir (Israel) der Türkei in den Arsch lecken (indem wir den Völkermord leugnen), während Erdogan jeden Tag buchstäblich sagt, dass Israel Scheiße ist. Es ist so verdammt ekelhaft, wie wir uns wiedergefunden haben "Freunde" mit der Türkei und Aserbaidschan.
Endlich eine gute Nachricht: Es gibt eine armenische Gemeinde in Haifa, einer Stadt im Norden Israels. Letztes Jahr hat die Stadt Haifa einen Platz zum Gedenken an den Völkermord an den Armeniern eingerichtet. Ich denke, das ist schon mal was. Hier können Sie mehr darüber lesen:

Ich habe die Kommentare zum Krieg der Hamas gelesen. Auf die Katastrophe, die sich derzeit in Gaza abspielt, möchte ich nicht eingehen. Das ist ein anderes Thema und eine andere Debatte. Ich habe dieses Thema im Originalbeitrag nur als Anekdote und Beispiel für die gegenseitige Abneigung (Israelis und Armenier) angesprochen. Ich hoffe, dass auch im Nahen Osten und in Gaza bald Frieden und Sicherheit einkehren.

Armenians, among many others, are siding with the indigenous people who are being ethnically cleansed and genocided just like the Armenians in Artsakh just were (both, with Israeli weapons). Not to mention Israeli settlers attacking Armenians in Jerusalem.
I’m glad you’re able to see that your government has chosen not to recognize the Armenian Genocide to stay close to Turkey’s and Azerbaijan’s government, but the implicit denial of the genocide in Gaza in this post is still at best ignorant and won’t win you any favors here

Israel is a big problem in the Middle East and Armenia specifically, not just because they arm Azerbaijan and deny the Armenian genocide. Probably the biggest issue being how much they selfishly perpetuate anti-Iranian politics in the west. They’ve also been destabilizing the region for decades.
It’s cool that you have this hobby, but you’re making it sound like israel has more guilt in azerbaijan than at home.
Our people have so much in common, I wish we collaborated more. Unfortunately politics always gets in the way.

Shalom, I share your hopes of friendship and most of the people understand the difference between the general population and the government, and indeed your government has unfortunately valued geopolitics more than anything else, but the Armenians I know don’t have resentment or anything towards Jews

FYI, no one is for hamas, being Pro-Palestine does not equal being pro-hamas.

I read the comments about the Hamas war. I don’t want to get into The catastrophe that’s going on now in Gaza. It’s a different issue and debate. I brought up this issue in the original post just as an anecdote and an example of the dislikeness of each other (Israelis and Armenians). I hope peace and security will arrive to the middle east ang Gaza soon as well.
Jews have the same right to control Israel that Armenians have to claim United Armenia.
