Believe me, many Georgians aren’t tolerant to LGBTQ especially the older generation. However, I’m not one of them, so happy pride month!

Just a reminder to people: harrassing and threatening people you do not agree is not ok. You can agree or disaagree on something but harrassing or worse, hurting people is not ok.

If you support LGBTQ, you do you. If you don’t, as long as you don’t harrass people or hurt them, you are entitled to your opinions. Keep it civil, you might see thst at the end of the day all of us are just people.

P.S. Also forgot, if you support LGBTQ, or ARE LGBTQ, the above applies doubly for you. You know better. Attacking people, harrassing, and hurting them just makes them justifying unjust hate easier. Some of them just don’t know better. Be civil and most people, if not change their oponion, will be much more tollerant. I am speaking this from personal experience.

I believe we are facing more pivotal problems rn rather than pride month and its awareness ๐Ÿ˜€

If only there was more of this around Tbilisi. I was surprised by the lack of signs of solidarity even around places that are supposed to be urban hotspots and cultural centers. I know that the Georgian youth have other struggles to overcome at this point, but seeing the vehemence of their rejection of the Russian law made me expect a higher degree of acceptance for diverse ways of life. The patriarchy of the orthodox church still seems to have a strong grip on every aspect of society here.

This sub has been done for a long time but this kind of things cement the grave.

While Iโ€™m not against gays or any other sexual orientation, they should have all the rights as any other heterosexual, I hate the woke culture, itโ€™s ignoring common sense and promotes insanity like minor sex changes, medical intervention and forcing people to use pronouns. (Georgians wonโ€™t have problem with last bit).

I think people would become more accepting of LGBTQ if more of them acted like normal people and not think „just because I’m gay, I’m special“. look at what happened in London in 2023 would any normal human being do that? When something becomes annoying that’s when people start to hate it no matter what it is. Don’t shove your beliefs in people’s faces and everything will be fine.
