Can we be somewhat sure the Polynesians never reached some of these Pacific Islands?

Yaghan/Yamana people were most likely the first to visit the Falklands.

What makes the Azores or Madeira qualify for this list whilst Iceland doesn’t? Who lived in southern Greenland prior to the Norse, nobody as far as I am concerned?

    4. Do the western Indian Ocean islands (Seychelles, Mauritius, Reunion, etc.) really have no signs of visitation from the entire Indian Ocean trade era? After all, it was Indonesians who first settled Madagascar. Strange if they never found those other islands!

Also strange that Sao Tome and Principe were never discovered by the peoples living nearby. They must not have had much of a maritime trade network. Then again, if you only go along the coast and the islands aren’t visible, they might as well not exist, I guess

Netherlands has a very high surface in the description yet I do not see it on the map

    6. Russia discovering the most territory only to have it inhabitated by just 600 people 💀

Since you are including islands that were populated at one time prior to European arrival, and we’re uninhabited at the time of European arrival, you should include islands off the coast of Australia, like King Island and kangaroo Island.

I wonder why you omitted the largest uninhabited landmass actually discovered by any European power.

Antarctica- discovered by Russia in 1820.

You could argue that the islands off eastern Russia were discovered by Denmark, given that Vitus Bering was Danish

    10. Counting just islands is dumb, there must be hundreds of Km² that were first seen by european explorers

How is it possible for the Indian Ocean islands to not be discovered by Austronesian people even if they had discovered Madagascar and thousand of Islands in the Pacific ?

    12. There was no Russia in 1712. Moscovia proclaimed itself Rossian Empire in 1721.

Not seeing ‚Mutineers on the Bounty‘ on the legend or Pitcairn on the map

Why is the Netherlands land area so big when it looks like so many fever islands than Portugal. I must be missing some big island.
