Occam’s razor: Russia just saying „hey, we see you“ to the „commercial“ satellite. It’s just about reminding everyone that, regardless of side, we’re all in the same FAFO game.

I’m glad to hear it was “behind“ because just releasing some debris or spraying some paint into the orbital path of a following satellite could disable its solar panels or worse.
