Mein Nachbar S. besitzt viel (oben).

    Danke!

If you are your plots are outside of city the answer is, usually yes. In the city the answer is, it depends.

    2. Of course he’s allowed to do that, and no, he doesn’t need to consult you first. Listen to T.

    3. depends? In a city one would need to have a permission, in writing, from all neighbours looking at the trees, but it is not obvious where you live, what kind of plot we are talking about, and your map does not make any sense.

Are the trees in his lot? I assume yes.
Can he cut down trees that are in his lot? Yes.
Can he do so without asking for permission? Yes.
Does he need to inform you that he’s going to do so? No.
Is he an asshole for doing so without notifying you? It really depends, but you certainly feel that way.

Depends on where you live (what the area is zoned as and what kind of process your municipality/city requires for felling trees). I’m guessing you don’t live in a detail plan area, since you have a road going through your property. Then it’s highly unlikely your neighbor would have had to organize a hearing for cutting down the forest.

If you’re curious, you could contact your local planning department. They will let you know if the neighbor followed the procedures as they should have.

Can’t help but wonder, what exactly is the point of this post? The land is his, the trees are his, and he may, presumably, do what he wishes with his land and his trees. If he’s in his right mind and so forth. And either way, the trees are gone. What are you gonna make him do? Plant them back? This is not America. You can’t sue for everything. If that’s what you’re thinking.

Depends on your zoning regulations. Contact your city info, they will help you. In urban area there is almost certainly some limits. If you live in a countryside, there is almost certainly nothing you can do about it.

    8. If they were on a land he owned and you’re not on some city area/suburbs, then yes, he likely was well within his rights and there’s nothing you can do about that specifically.

However, you *could* always just plant your own trees on your own land.
