That entire underside of the floor with the suction drops down to create a vacuum. F1 had this shit in like 1980 bro, don’t think it’s a parlor trick.

      ***NO SHIT***

Is this the level of „conspiracy“ that this sub has sunken to?

    3. GrumpMaster- on

Obviously something other than the jets were keeping it pinned to that ramp.

I don’t think any consumers think this car is built to drive on upside down roads.

    4. VegetableRetardo69 on

Yeah I think everybody knows that. How else its supposed to drive up that wall?

    5. The physics of cold thrusters allows this car to elevate for about 5 seconds. No joke. You are not getting a flying car anytime soon.

    6. hurtshtummy on

i mean it was an impressive display of engineering regardless, and a great marketing stunt. If you are thinking normal people would ever be sold a flying rocket car or car that drives upside down then you aren’t thinking very deeply

    7. Antique-Wonk on

Likely a composite car with most stuff removed to keep the weight down. Weight is the enemy.

Nooooo…he sent a car too space…theres a red tesla or some shit floating around with some dude in it….FOR REAL! Theres a vid! its a whole thing…hes got a car driving aroind space…🤣🤣🤣

Do u really think it would be safe for society if the average person would be allowed to driv3 flying cars?

    10. Ok_Nefariousness9019 on

Really? You think Elon wanted people to believe the production car is going to be doing rocket propelled flips on the highway.

    11. Sherlock816 on

      Duh.

It was a plublicity stunt to get into all the new orgs cycles for free advertising.

I was going to order one. Have been waiting for years. But they changed the design and lost me. Look up the 2019 or so Tesla Roadster mockup designs. It was such a beautiful super car.

    13. I was waiting for these types of posts. Surprised it took this long. This is why when the day comes that aliens decide to make themselves visible to the public we will have people still saying it’s fake lol

    14. It’s a shelled out car….and for the life of me can’t figure out why people are calling it a flying car. It’s not. It’s a controlled fall.

    15. fightclubdevil on

Guys the jets are a publicity stunt. I’m sure the suction is real but I doubt you’ll be able to jump and barrel roll over cars when you’re stuck in traffic.

I can’t believe how naive folks are. We’ve had this jet propulsion tech for decades. Bro just wrapped it in a car body. You are not gonna be driving this going to get groceries.

    17. the problem is we don’t have the ramp infrastructure in place. till these massive ramps are installed in every city, the cars are fundamentally useless.

    18. I thought everyone new that car was designed for this event. And the suction concept has been around for years.

It’s still pretty cool how they pulled those stunts off though

    19. Unsolved_Virginity on

There’s a bunch of videos explaining how they did it, OP. Just look it up.

The thing that retracted was the fan shroud. That’s how it gets its down force. There is at least one other car on YouTube driving upside down with a fan.

    21. The so called thrust thing making it go 0-60 in under a second. Is one time use. Takes 7hours to refill. And not even road legal.

The rocket version is ‘invite only’ meaning it’s not even a road legal car.

The car that ‘flew’ was a shell.

      It’s just smoke and mirrors.
We all know this of course.

    22. It’s not a production car though is it. If you had bothered to follow up what tech is on the car you would know it has deployable rubber side skirts to help with the fans down force to hold to the ground.

What you are seeing is the rubber skirt being retracted before the jump flip, because why would you need a downforce aid when in the air?

    23. Hungry-Physics-9535 on

You gotta be a little dumb to think they’re including the lunar lander jets on the production model lol

    24. ll8bitHEROll on

This is so dumb. No. No mass production car will ever have 100L nitrous tanks that take 7 hours to fill for 4 seconds of thrust. But that’s just my conspiracy

    25. SubstantialNinja on

that’s part of the design. the side skirts come down to seal the bottom so the vacuum can hold it to the wall.

    26. I don’t think anyone with any common sense actually believes the production model will come with the ability to kickflip over traffic.
