    1. The Swiss public and politicians should press China to bring Syngenta back to the Swiss stock exchange.

But a listing alone isn’t enough: we also need stronger rules preventing foreign governments and state-controlled companies from taking over strategic Swiss businesses and transferring their intellectual property and manufacturing know-how abroad.

Switzerland’s openness should not come at the expense of the expertise and industrial capacity that underpin our prosperity.

    2. The real issue is that Switzerland should had never allowed another government to buy a Swiss company! Governments should not be in the business of buying foreign companies and if they are ist not in the interest of the country they are buying from! Would you like China to come and buy Nestle, UBS, SwissRe, Novartis, Roche? As things stand today if they want they can…. That’s the issue!

    3. I don’t get why this is bad? Maybe I’m just retarded? I know what an IPO is, why care if it’s in Hong Kong instead of here in Switzerland?

Fun fact: when I was in Gymnasium/Gymnase/Lycée a few years ago, i did my Maturaarbeit / Travail de maturité (high school „thesis“) about how the purchase of Syngenta by ChemChina is seen in various Swiss medias.
