Lots of Christmas parties and festive spirit come a knockin 9 months later!

    2. In my last years of highschool, they for some reason decided that home room classes should be a mix of all age groups and divided everyone up by birthday. Nothing dilutes the specialness of a birthday like sharing it with 5 people at the same time.

And now I find out I have the most common birthday of all. Weak shit.

We all want a January first hockey superstar, but most of us jump the gun.

We had a good run a few days ago with data that is actually beautiful (tennis).

This is excel sheet with conditional formatting….

    5. Would you mind please highlighting as well the least common birthday _besides_ the Leap Day?

    6. People in Canada f*ck mostly from Sommer vacations (April kids) until New Years Eve (September kids). Got it.

      Nice try, Statistics Canada!

I’ve seen this kind of phishing attempt before…

    8. How can December be so uncommon and June as common as it is? In real life so many people o know are born in December and barely anyone ks born in June

Imagine that, people stay in and fuck more often during winter.

That said… it would be nice to get some indication of the *magnitude* of these differences. The coloring makes it look huge, but last I looked, the differences between dates was pretty small, with the exception of Christmas and Feb 29, of course.

Holy Shit. My bday is September 20th so I was super sketched out thinking this was some AD or something hyper targeted to me.

This is because Canada is a large part indian and Indian births follow the monsoon season

What’s up with the gap between first couple days of july va the rest of that month?

    13. I wonder how this varies by country. I know so many people born in late November

Is July first a bad day to induce or something? It’s so weird how much higher it is than its neighbors. Is that the first day of new med students?

Wonder why the first week of September is so comparatively less common than the rest of the month

    16. Lots of folks find fruitful ways to keep warm in the winter months, and lots of New Year’s resolutions.

    17. Ooo, top 10 rare birthday that I share with my kid, wonder what the odds of that are?

I’m a Halloween baby and think it’s very funny to see my birthday be one of the least common while alllllll the days around it have 100 places more commonality. My mom wanted me to be born on the day but a woman in the room was trying to hold her baby in, it did not work.

    19. This is super cool! I didn’t realize July and September were so common!

Turns out I was conceived on my father’s birthday, my sister during Christmas and my brother on Valentine’s Day 🤣

Poor Dad only got laid on special occasions 🤣
