      **From The Telegraph:**

Volodymyr Zelensky has turned on Donald Trump, launching a personal attack on the US president and pledging to resume strikes on Russian oil refineries.

“The block [on attacking refineries] is out. We’re done,” the Ukrainian president said, defying a ceasefire declared by the US president.

Plunging their relationship to a low not seen since their Oval Office spat in February 2025, Mr Zelensky expressed anger over the withdrawal of US intelligence, the slowing of Starlink satellite services and criticised the White House for its eagerness to do business with Russia.

In a pointed personal attack on Mr Trump, Mr Zelensky said the president admired Vladimir Putin and had a natural affinity for strongmen and billionaires.

“He [Mr Trump] speaks about it openly and loudly that he loves such people and he respects such people,” Mr Zelensky told the Financial Times.

Mr Trump admired leaders who could stay in power for “20 years, 30 years, 40 years” because it meant they could be “very strong”, he added.

Mr Zelensky dismissed Mr Trump’s call for him to resign as “rhetoric” that would only embolden the Russian president.

Relations between Kyiv and Washington have deteriorated since Mr Trump waived sanctions on Russian diesel last Friday.

Mr Zelensky said Kyiv had held off for three days to meet US demands, but that Russia kept up attacks on Ukraine’s energy network, killing more than 100 civilians in a week.

“We didn’t destroy any relationship,” Mr Zelensky said, making clear it was not up to him to mend the damage done to ties with Washington.

Asked whether Ukraine would halt energy strikes even if Mr Trump continued to appease Russia, Mr Zelensky said he would only agree if he was given more US Patriot interceptors.

That was the “minimum” he asked for, Mr Zelensky said.

Good tell trump to take a hike and bomb Russia’s oil

Trump doesn’t control Putin, Putin does what he wants when he wants

    3. Can’t blame him. Who would want to work with a petulant child that supports pootin ?

    4. ArgentineBeauty on

Hit as many referines as you can and make Trump regret ever doing a deal with the devil (Putin).

It physically hurts how much I hate Trump, his cabinet cronies and his disgusting followers.

    6. WhateverIsFrei on

I’m guessing „someone“ hinted to trump that if he pushed Ukraine into surrender, it’d end the war and ending it would do wonders for his midterms.

    7. If Trump had a natural affinity for strongmen, he would favor the strongman that doesn’t use body doubles nor bombs schools & maternity wards.

The US has turned on Ukraine (or americans were actually never in favor of ukrainians).

      Zelensky just points this out.

Its not the fault of ukraine, like this headline pretends.

    9. -Nitupllik- on

I’m pretty sure Trump turned on Zelensky, he’s just responding in kind. Fuck russia.

    10. U_Kitten_Me on

I don’t know how much Ukraine is dependent on the US in this war at this point and how much this could still hurt them, but man, it’s satisfying to read Zelensky giving up on sucking up to Trump and telling him what he and everyone else thinks of him (though he was probably still holding back there).

    11. Adavanter_MKI on

Trump was never on his side. Zelensky didn’t turn… he gave up trying to reach him. Trump has been and continues to be one of the greatest threats to our nation. The damage he’s done and continues to do will be felt for generations. People still bring up Reagan for some of the damaging policies he had… with Trump we wont know where to start on all he’s damaged.

    12. AndersDreth on

Man, this whole thing is so fucking confusing. We have fears of WW3 scenarios but somehow both Russia and America are tag-teaming in screwing over Europe.

What’s next? China comes to the rescue of Europe citing annoyance over Russian plague incident?

    13. America is truly a pathetic country at the moment, and one of the worst things is… Americans seemingly don’t care that their country is becoming an Russian puppet state or are even cheering it on.

France protests their government at the drop of a hat, the UK gets rid of their prime ministers immediately if they are shit, Albanians are staging massive protests about the government selling off land to Kushner, Japan got rid of their useless prime minister after less than a year … Americans just open their mouth wide and accept it whilst Trump takes a piss all over them and all over their country.

It’s embarassing. In any normal country in the world, if a leader was acting like Trump… he would be gone. They would be removed from power. If Barnham even suggested cutting help from Ukraine and lifting sanctions from Russia, he would be ousted by the end of the month.

But Americans just open wide and say „give me more!“

Actualyl, I will go one further. In a normal country in the world, a president who mocked a disabled reporter… actually doing an insulting impression of him, would not stand a chance of getting elected. It would tank him completely. In America, it made him even more popular…

    14. I’ve scrolled down into the comment section, where the fuck are the pro-Trump russian bots ? Waiting for new farms to be built I guess ?

    15. Wretching_Mongoose on

No, Trump turned on Zelensky. He did this last year when he tried to humiliate him in Washington and has done it many times since.

    16. And Trump in turn will frame this as Ukraine warmongering. And his followers will eat it up like everything he shits out for them. Make it make sense.

    17. While the title of this article is bullshit (Trump is the one who turned on Zelenskyy, not the other way around), there’s something important to note here:

Zelenskyy is not known for being rash and speaking on impulse. He has been very cautious about how he talks about the US, despite knowing Trump’s true nature for a long time, because they needed continued US support.

The only reason why Zelenskyy would start speaking this way about Trump, is because they have reached a point where they no longer need US support to continue fighting the war.

In short, they have the cards.

    18. UniverseBear on

It’s terrifying that the US can limit the max flight speed of Ukrainian drones. American tech must be avoided at all costs.

    19. Planeshift07 on

America had a Unique chance to hit one of its rivals on the global stage.

All without risking a single American life.

While creating gigantic goodwill with its allies to prove to the world it is really is the defender of democracy.

And Trump thought, no i like Putin.

Either the Russians have him in their pocket, or he really is a Moron. (Or both)

    20. „turned on“

no, donald trump turned on him, and his other allies, and made himself a laughing stock

calling him out for it is a natural consequence of that

      bullshit wording

    21. Right Americans. Time to put your money where your mouth is these midterms.

Trump has now proven he is a deeply
corrupt, economically illiterate, ego-maniac causing untold harm to America and the world. There is no more spinning it, you just need eyes in your head to clearly see what an unmitigated disaster he has been.

VOTE in these midterms and prove to the rest of the world there is still some people of sense left in the US.

    22. Urtan_TRADE on

Can someone from US eli5 to me how the angry orange has so much support after all the damage he has done to the US? How is it possible that this senile narcissist compulsory liar still in power? Are there no checks to remove obviously insane and compromised person from presidency?

    23. Note what this is implying: Zelenskyy would only say this if he didn’t have any hope of Trump continuing his (very, very limited) support for Ukraine. Zelenskyy has effectively judged that Trump is now openly on Putin’s side.

Note further what that means: NATO and the entire US/Europe transatlantic alliance is all about protecting Europe from Russia. So if Trump favours Russia that means NATO and all security collaboration with Europe is also effectively over.

This is basically the end of the post-WWII era.

    24. thelandlordguychris on

i’m old enough to remember when conservatives thought russia was the bad guy

    25. TheSpaceFace on

I don’t think a lot of Americans realise how having very bad diplomatic relations with the rest of the world will effect Americans even after Trump leaves office.

    26. Stupid headline. More like Zelensky finally had enough of Trump turning on Ukraine, and the American people, and basically everything moral. Zelensky turns on trump…. unless they meant like Trump is turned on by Zelensky… Which is probably true.

    27. Adventurous_Gate3330 on

Good for Zelensky, for standing up to both of these despots. Trump’s fat ass can’t stop stroking off Putin fast enough, fuck’em.

    28. I’m starting to think this Trump fellow can’t end the war in 24 hours like he promised.

    29. LongjumpingTurnip on

Wait wait wait.. WHO TURNED ON WHO NOW? What an ridiculous title. The greatest con man in history has turned its back on americas allies and sold them to the enemy. We will never forget this betrayal
