    1. for what? 2fa for email/exchanges?

theres nothing really that will *absolutely* secure you

If you leave your coins on the exchange then absolutely have a Yubikey. Even if you don’t but leave a payment method attached to your account a Yubikey is helpful. In Security tab on both Kraken and Coinbase (maybe Uphold) you can apply the 2FA to things like account login, send/withdraw, new addresses- all make it very difficult for a hacker to remove coins from your exchange account because they have to physically touch the 2FA device to execute. The hacker can replicate your SIM card by contacting the provider so SMS is the least secure along with email. Kraken is better than Coinbase at applying 2FA. Also buy two – one for backup to protect against loss, name each one and setup each one.

Yes use this on your Google, apple and exchange accounts. In fact get a second one for back up. You will essentially live free of phishing scams.

A Yubi key won’t save your hardware wallet if that’s what you’re asking. You can set it as a 2FA for exchanges through. But it is not a „this fixes everything.“ solution. They’re useful for more than crypto.

    6. These are really, really useful. This website I used was hacked and all my login information was leaked. I had the same email and password as my main Gmail account and I got a notification that someone tried to login but my yubikey prevented it.
