Konstruktive Kritik sehr willkommen.

I personally would love one of those! So I think they’d find it amazing and thoughtful
Absolutely, it’s lovely!
Love it, would have it on the lapel of my one fine suit.
Very much so!
Yes! A very hyggelig little gift
Handcrafted gifts are the best.
No! The flag has the wrong proportions.
It looks pretty good, like a good version of whats already a fairly normal pin.
No one realy uses them, exept maybe people who want to show their support or membership of DF, the political party Dansk Folkeparti. But, its a very nice one. Dont underestimate the value of a very nice thing gesture made with actual effort. The normal pin version you often can find in suvineer shops isnt made with silver and fancy handmade enamel. As a gift for a political coleague or public faring person, id think it would be very well recieved. Even if no one realy wears such pins.
But we are very weird about Dannebro. Its the flag of the people, used to celebrate everyday life and stuff. So its used as hand heldt paper flags and a up the flagpole for a birthday or the like. Pretty common as a string with small flags as a christmas tree dekoration, lots and lots when small paper flags in the table and potter plant ect when celebrating graduating public school pr hight school. If you have a flag Pole, its even pretty common to just fly the flag ‚just because its a nice sunny day‘. But most people doesnt wear them or fly any Dannebrog as part as any patriotic symbol or anything and therefore normaly doesnt wear it as a pin either. But it is a very nice pin/broatch. Im pretty far from DF politicaly, and even if they gladly wear a patriotic pin and I dont, id be very honered to get such a lovely one in a gift from someone who made it with effort and to be nice. I dont wear a watch anymore either, but id be very honered if I was gifted a nice watch too. And your pin is very much lovely. Abselutly appropriate as a non personal gift for like a local goverment coleague or something, even if they dont belong among the DF.
Can you make some with the danish/scandinavian valravn or the knotted 3 triancles or the like, you could abselutly sell them i belive. Thats how nice they look. Well done on the craftmanship.
Not a lot of people wear brooches these days and specifically wearing a Dannebrog flag brooch is to me very odd and can come across as chauvinistic. However, I’m not a very patriotic person. With that said I would love a gift like this considering all the hard work and lovely materials put in. I would just put it on a shelf with my other knick knacks, and I think some other people will likely do the same. If you are okay with that then go for it. If not you should consider making something other than a brooch 🙂
It’s pretty sick yes
I LOVE our flag so much. Not as a nationalistic symbol (because I am not a nationalist) but because it symbolizes celebration and sunny weather because those things are what we use it for.
However. Wearing the flag as a pin seems more nationalistic in my opinion. It makes it more personal because it becomes obvious that the wearer wants everyone to know that that they are Danish and love Denmark. Which is unnecessary among Danes because we all do and we already know that we all do.
When someone feels the need to display it like that it means something else: “My love for DK has become part of my identity and it’s important for me that everyone knows that”. And it does have nationalistic connotations.
If the receiver is from Bornholm then make a Bornholm flag instead!
I wouldn’t. Unless you know for a fact that they’re a staunch patriot/conservative/nationalist.
I don’t know anyone who’d carry a flag in public apart from right leaning politicians.
I say it is perfect. You nailed it my friend.
love the idea. but wouldnt like the gift. i would never wear it and that would be sad
I feel like EVERTHING HANDMADE is a suitable gift 🔥
Looks very lovely, but personally if I were the Danish representative I would rather receive one with the Scottish flag as a memory of your visit, a Dannebrog brooch can be picked up in any souvenir shop, albeit in a much worse quality than what you’ve made, but a Scottish flag brooch is harder to come by and would remind me of your specific visit.
