Seems a bit of a straw man. Who on the left hates United Europe? The only countries that are ideologically opposed are USA and Russia. Arguably china would be better placed to exert it’s economic will. The UK would find it politically convenient. A lot of lefties argue it is a fundamentally neoliberal project I suppose.

People have been calling for this stuff for years. A USE will never work. It’s a fantasy.
I dont think the left or right hate a united Europe. I dont think they think about Europe at all. It’s a group of colonists in decline for the past few decades, nothing much to offer the world at this point.
They don’t both hate a united Europe, and Europe is not united anyway.
The left and the right are united in their constant whining, complaints and entitlement. They don’t even realise how they mirror each other.
