      I hope gas prices reach $20 a gallon in the US, the US needs to feel the pain of being utterly fucking stupid. Electing Trump, incentivising excessive driving and massive Chevy Tahoe’s, investing nearly 0% of their GDP into any alternative means of transportation, designing all their infrastructure and cities around the car, even in their most walkable cities cars and car parking reign supreme.

      Then have Trump single handedly destroying the US’s investment, and research into alternative fuels, because that is woke.

      We must also consider that there is not much unused refinery capacity worldwide when everything is normal. Depleting the inventory buffer may have a long lasting impact on basically everyone, as it could take years to rebuild stocks and for available supply to meet demand again… Those supplying will make more, those buying will spend more.
