honestly, anything fresh cream hits different. My local supervalu do an apple turnover, with fresh cream in it. Delicious!

You obviously don’t know what shape donuts are. Sir , this is a cream sandwich

    3. Keep your maple bacon glazed doughnuts and other notions, this place is the best in Dublin in my book. And great value

In Drogheda we call these fanny buns. As a kid I remember going down town with my nanny and her ordering me one. Wasn’t until I said it in front of my Dublin wife that I found it they are not called this outside Drogheda.

I love the old school bakeries. It reminds me of my grannies looking after me as a wean and going by all their old haunts in Glasgow.

Real question, how does one go about eating these without making a complete mess?

    8. I remember the ones in Superquinn when I was a kid. Long cream doughnuts. Delicious.

    9. SHUT UP! This is the best bakery in Dublin and a complete secret. We don’t want the hipster plebs of Reddit crowding it out!!!

Superquinn did the baddest ones. Loved getting them on a Friday evening when the parents did the weekly shop. Supervalu is good though.

    13. I spent many a happy time in there picking out a cake as a kid with my Nanny who’s from the area. Great to see it still open.
