In theory there shouldn’t be a problem for a UK citizen, but there have been cases where if you’ve got a Kosovo stamp on your passport you’d run into problems while crossing the border into Serbia. Therefore I’d suggest the best route would be Nis, Prishtina, and then Skopje.
Some problems you will face
If you enter Kosovo from any border checking that is not serbia, you cant enter serbia from Kosovo. Ex: enter here from macedonia you wont be able to enter serbia from here
to answer your 3 questions: There is only one possible route to combine all of them in a loop and you got it right with the directions. Niš isnt that interesting as Skopje. You will have no issues with entering Serbia on next trips
Your suggested path works, no problems
You wont have any Problems if you go this route
Sofia-Nis-Prishtina-Skopje.
The only problem would be if you try to enter Serbia vis Kosovo, then you might have problems, other than that you are free to go
I assume you go by car.
Personally avoid Serbia. It’s dead shit boring
Go to Prishtina, don’t stay there to much it’s kinda boring tbf. then drive to Prizren it’s a good ride highway. Stay in Prizren. If you will night over do that, then go to Prevalla or The mountains near peja. Then when you get the time go to Macedonia and drive through Serbia if you are going up North. If not then go back to Bulgaria
If you go from Bulgaria to North Macedonia, then Kosovo, and then Serbia, they will cause you problems because, for them, Kosovo is part of their territory; therefore, you illegally entered their territory. But if you go, for example, from Bulgaria to North Macedonia to Serbia, then you are allowed to travel between Serbia and Kosovo without problems for 2 weeks. That was the case 4-5 years ago, when I traveled with some friends at that border, and they gave me this explanation.
