I mean they’re losing so many men for so little territorial gain that it feels like WW 1

Ideally they take even more losses for even less gains.

Putin cannot stop the war and survive.
The war ends when Putin dies.
Putin dies when the war ends.

This has always been the war plan in Russia since at least 1800

I’ve seen at least a 1000+ videos of drone attacks on Russians, who are just absolutely getting vaporized. Its very very true the Russians have lost and estimated 1,000,000 men. You can see these videos on gore websites. It’s disheartening to see this level of brutality, and the absolute waste of human life that makes no sense.
„Heavy losses“ is an understatement.

Putin is still drinking champagne and snacking on caviar so everything’s fine in Russia.

It’s kinda like watching my friend dropping 5K on super fancy photography gear when I know they work minimum wage and haven’t made any money from photography since they started that hobby like 15 years ago. In the end, all that gear will end up being sold at a big loss because they’ll need some money asap.

Do not correct your enemy when he is making mistakes. I personally, as a European, think every dead russian invader is one less to trouble other countries. So godspeed, Ukraine.🇪🇺🇺🇦

I think it should be fair game to make clear, descriptive statements about the war, when Russia has been both beating their chest, AND pretending to be innocent victims of their own invasion for the last ten years, insulting every single IQ point of everyone being reached by their propaganda filth.

Putin will burn everything to the ground before he takes a loss, and every single move he makes points right to it. It will not be some small, limited exchange either. He will drop the whole arsenal. A lot of people reading this do not want to consider it, but nobody is looking at a long life here. The world is likely done within 5 years, if not the next 2 or 3 years. A nuclear exchange inside 5 years is almost guaranteed. NATO is bound to defend member nations and Russia will never back down. Unlike the Cuban missile crisis where they blinked, Putin will not. Part of Trump’s erratic behavior comes from military advisors painting this exact grim picture for the coming months and years, which is pure armageddon. Him trying to friendly up with Putin, North Korea, and China is partly an attempt to lower the odds of a global nuclear holocaust.
I also believe it is why he is pushing hard to restore America, his vision of what life was in America during his early years in the 50s and beyong, when the United States was mostly a traditional society, with at-home manufacturing. The glory days, as he sees it. He knows it’s coming to an end and, he wants one last crowning moment for America before the end of the world. To make America great again one last time.
Nothing Putin is doing makes any sense. Nothing Trump is doing makes any sense.
The end is near.

Their „little gains“ in fact – they are already on outskirts of my hometown.
