Was wäre, wenn „Grand Theft Auto“ in London spielen würde? Ich habe eine Karte erstellt, um mir London so vorzustellen, als ob es im GTA-Universum wäre – die Geographie der Stadt ist gequetscht, und ich habe bestimmte Ortsnamen so umbenannt, wie es GTA tun würde – die ganze Stadt wird in „Trafalgar“ umbenannt. Kings Cross wird zu „Dukes Cross“, das Barbican Estate wird zum „Bastion Estate“, Angel wird zu „Saint“ … Sie verstehen, worum es geht.

Wenn ich noch mehr Zeit gehabt hätte, hätte ich vielleicht mehr Landschaft und Wildnis eingebunden, da meiner Meinung nach die besten GTA-Karten diejenigen sind, auf denen es viele verschiedene Landschaften zu erkunden gibt … aber die Erstellung hat schon ewig gedauert!
Schauen Sie sich unbedingt auch Seite 2 an, wo ich versucht habe, eine landesweite GTA-Karte mit verschiedenen Ortsnamen im gesamten Vereinigten Königreich zu erstellen, sowie eine fiktive U-Bahn- und Buskarte für Trafalgar.

Cool map though, love the name changes to places.
There needs to be a travel tavern at Linton. Perhaps with a bonus mission that, to the innocent bystander, may very well look like traffic cone theft.

Love this! I’m all for the inclusion of a racing circuit, but Silverstone is comparatively far from London when you could have put Brands Hatch in the Canter Marshes area with no trouble!
My only complaint is I thought it was nice (and weird) that you’d included telegraph hill only to find you’d pinched the name for Crystal Palace.
Why did you bother changing the names in the first place?

This is just fantastic, nice work. Can tell you’ve put a lot of time into it. I think it’s a perfect R* blend of weird local detail, and hyper simplification. Like the exaggeration of Brighton (a perfect wacky countercultural / hippy / conservative gentrification kind of place for a GTA game) and the total erasure of Surrey.
Only thing missing is to wrap the Wash round the top and turn it into an island! Oh, and a few more double-entendres (come on, London’s got loads of potential for GTA schoolboy humour – the whole east side used to be called „Middlesex“ for starters).
calling the whole city trafalgar is unhinged and i love it. dukes cross and saint aint even puns theyre just london with a fake moustache, but next time shove in more grim countryside and a shitty roadside motel so it feels like a place youd actually get lost in a stolen car.
Would love to see it but I feel a non USA based GTA would effect sales. Imagine if GTA VI on PS6 was set across multiple cities across the world. New York, London and Tokyo or something 😳

Brighton has to be named Hove because Hove Beach in GTA 4 is based on Brighton Beach NY
There’s a little game called Watch Dogs Legion that included a lot of central London, might want to give that a try.
Actually that’s the *second* time Ubisoft made an open world game based on London, first was Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

I absolutely love how you’ve included Kent / Sussex in this map. Feels like you’ve really paid attention to the general geography of the surrounding landscape rather than just including London.

This is Hackney/Dalston and Islington erasure. They should be included not just because i live there. but skewering Rockstar would give it would be great

Also horse racing is a big thing here. I wish you’d have added somewhere like Epsom or Ascot races which are in small towns next to London
Justice for Putney
The only thing I’d change is the amount of suburbs to the north of the city. 1930s London suburbs are very repetitive, and for the sake of gameplay it’d be quite difficult to differentiate locations. I’m thinking headstone, twin hills, bell green, and high arch could probably all be condensed. In its place you could probably have some countryside interspersed with private estates and farms- I imagine a GTA set in London would inevitably at some point take major inspiration from London gangster and Guy Ritchie movies, so having those types of locations would be quite practical to the story and setting.

Nicely done. As a denizen of „Ontario Water“ (very fitting considering there’s a building called Ontario Point outside the real Canada Water station) I approve. Quite nostalgic to see that this version of Ontario Water still has a cinema, when the real Odeon in the development wasteland whose real life bus stops are still ironically called „Surrey Quays Leisure Park“ got demolished last year.
