      Why, so Putin can Navalny Zelensky?….And I believe it because Putin is so hell bent on Moscow, especially when there’s so many neutral places for that meeting to take place…like Miami for instance.

      By the way: I would expect the Iranians, unlike the Russians, Israelis, or Americans, to still adhere to diplomatic protocol.

      Only if the PResident goes and Zelensky stays with the President’s entourage. Russia couldn’t do anything to him there, and it would send a powerful signal that Ukraine is part of the West.

      Again: it’s not about physical danger to Zelensky. It is about diplomatic protocol and the message that is sent by the fact of Zelensky going to Putin alone. Even if he is received with all honors and treated like a prince, going to Moscow in itself is admitting a subordinate role to Russia. Never in a million years are Ukrainians accepting this.

      By merely accepting the invitation, Zelensky hands Putin massive advantages in both peace negotiations as well as in postwar order. Putin knows this perfectly well, and would milk it for all its worth.

      There is way, way more subtext in diplomatic communication than people here think. What happens is nothing nearly as crude. Just the invitation itself is undermining Zelensky’s position and his acceptance would undermine it even more. They won’t need to kill or harm Zelensky physically.

      Zelenskyy must have had to seriously resist the urge to not laugh out loud or say something derogatory to Trump.

      By no means should President Zelensky go to Russia.

      There are plenty of neutral countries that would be suitable.

      Did you notice that all Kremlin propagandists at once started to suggest that Zelensky should go to meet Putin in Moscow. This makes Trump a Kremlin propagandist too. He is part of the Kremlin propaganda orchestra.
