It is so funny to see … Everything black is where the rich live, everything purple is where the young, free-spirited and left live and the blue is the poor and social melting pot (immigration) live. It is clear as day to me how the citizens vote based on their social and economic status vote.

How concerning is it that AfD got 16% in Berlin which being an urban area I assume leans further left than the average German. From what I understand the two regions that vote them highest are pretty rural, and lean right. Does this mean AfD will likely do well in more moderate areas?

It was traditionally a workers party but it isn’t any more. It is not even left anymore. So their voters feel betrayed and the right wingers vote for CDU or worse.

The rise of AfD is scary. Especially since they are running basically in a policy of economic ruin for working people but wrapped in anti immigrant Nazi lite, which apparently is all that’s needed to get people to vote to shoot themselves in the feet.

When I was recently in Berlin I saw quite some posters for Volt. I didn’t see anywhere if they got any significant amount of votes at all. I would have expected the to at least gain some ground in a city like Berlin. Anyone who can shed some light on that?
