    1. > Flock CEO Garrett Langley said on the All-In podcast last month that “the biggest damage” caused by the backlash against the company had been “internal morale.”

      > “Because you go on to X or you go on to Reddit and you go, why are people so mad at us when we’ve been doing the same thing for nine years?” Langley said.

Tech bros have no spine, you throw a few mean words at them and they just want to start a cuddle puddle to cope.

And just because there hasn’t been a mass outrage at what you’ve been doing for „nine years“ doesn’t make it right.

With the way things are going for Flock, I’d take the severance and flock off.

Don’t worry most of those employees selling this crap are x cops. Flock will implant ex-employees back at police agencies to help keep them in the environment. Flock is evil but the employees aren’t great either.

„Our customers might all be fleeing, but we’ve got some great pictures of their butts as they run away and we’ve identified all of them from their butt photos we have on file.“ — FLOCK executive

It’s kinda wild that they’ve been doing this for 9 years in near secrecy.

    6. It’s kind of funny. It’s basically to be expected with any camera device

      Laptop and mobile device etc.

With this and LG exposure. Wouldnt be surprise if way more companies get founded out

I have as much sympathy for them as I would for the health insurance industry if we finally switched to universal healthcare.

If you work for an evil company, taking abuse is part of the gig. If you can’t handle that part, quit.

Good because I despise the people working on and installing all of this surveillance and stalking technology anyway. Guess what I’d never do? I’d never contribute to AI software designed to kill “military targets” like Palantir does, and I’d never install a camera that I know was going to be used for warrant-less surveillance.
