Als ich heute Morgen meinen Briefkasten öffnete, fand ich Folgendes darin: die Zeitschrift „Gemeinde“ von gestern, ein weiteres zerknülltes Stück Papier und daneben ein altes, gebrauchtes Feuerzeug.
Sind das nur einheimische Kinder, die sich knallhart aufführen wollen, oder handelt es sich hier um eine allgemeine Bedrohung für Ausländer? Wir leben in einem gehobenen Viertel im Kanton Luzern und sind gut integriert.
Unsere Nachbarn sind alle superfreundlich (hauptsächlich ältere Leute), sie helfen uns sogar, Schweizerdeutsch zu lernen, und wir tauschen häufig traditionelle Backwaren aus. Ich hatte hier nie Probleme mit Einheimischen.
Ist das schon jemandem passiert? Sollen wir das der Polizei/Gemeinde melden?

I would treat it as a threat, and report it to the police. Might not be targeted at you personally. Hopefully you did not touch the lighter.
Unfortunately, their are mentally ill people committing arson, endangering the life of people and animals. I have crumpled pamphlets quite often in my mailbox. The lighter could very well hust be a promotional item. Just ask your neighbors if they also got one, or check the ad on the lighter for what it is.
Or maybe some bored teens wanted to light something on fire, were getting caught and hid the contraband in your mailbox.
I dont think its a cryptic threat against you.
I dont see how this is a threat, especially how do you know it’s against „foreigners“?
The mail delivery guy dropped it accidentally, and tried to recover it with the crumpled up paper functioning like a extension of his fingers. When he dropped that as well he decided to flee the scene.
