I would not want to see the inside of that BMD, as an ariborne tank I can’t imagine that it’s got much in the way of armour

Looks like a casualty recovery. Dead dude by the air guard hatch(which on the BMD is the ingress/egress door-stupid design)- looks like they stopped to pull out a sheet to put him in or cover him, then saw the drone and BLYAT- *EDIT*- def his map and notebook, not a sheet, but the guy on top is 100% dead at the beginning of the vid. I think the guys riding on back either got vaporized or dipped when the BMP opened up. Looks like they hosed the area with 7.62 and were using the 2A42’s slow rate of fire mode so they more than likely saw the dudes dip and were trying to/or picked them off in the tree line. The second one looks like it just lets loose with AP on the high rate of fire mode judging by all the rounds hitting the buildings and ground in the background(though I cant recall the blast radius/signature of the HE rounds), BMD was only moving because it was in gear and had inertia on it’s side. That BMD was very yucky inside, they got them right through the rear with that last burst of AP, if they were fully crewed or had anyone in the troop compartment its a hose out job.

Reminds me of the ambush of the VDV in Kharkiv in early war. An entire column, probably a company o f infantry got ambushed in the city. Most guys didn’t even get a chance to dismount before they were cut down. Each Vic was full of shattered and torn bodies.

Hey Yuri, let’s hop out here and unfold this ridiculously huge map to figure out where we are!
„*In May 2022, while conducting aerial reconnaissance (surveillance) of the area of responsibility, our team detected the movement of a lost enemy vehicle. While the 2nd Air Assault Division of the „2nd World Army“ was failing the topographic orienteering exam with a bang, the Division Group team, in cooperation with the 24th Mechanized* Brigade, began its daily work: conducting surveillance, adjusting actions and hunting for enemy combatants. The result was the complete destruction of the airborne assault unit.*“

Aren’t BMD4s mainly intended for Russian air borne forces?

Looks like a pretty town. I wonder if there’s anything left of it.
