    1. Interesting thing to note about this footage is that while the rescue helicopter retrieving the pilot is clearly a HH-60W Jolly Green II, as was reported at the time, the rescue helicopter retrieving the WSO is blurred out for national security purposes. It’s always been reported that MH-6 Little Birds made the WSO pickup, but General Dan Caine says the small helicopter is blurred because it’s a bespoke capability that he doesn’t want people to know about, which raises the question of it being a specially modified Little Bird in some way, perhaps to reduce its IR signature (similar to the stealth Blackhawks used in the Bin Laden raid).

    2. I remember alot of people after the pilot were rescued claim this was actually a botched attempt to attack an Iranian Nucleal facility

Amazing operation. People will sneer because we’re America but nobody else on earth can come even close to this. Glad to see them getting some appreciation they’re the most underrated of special forces the US has ever other special forces group raves about the USAF pararescue guys.

Havn’t watched but just to confirm…isn’t this phase one of the new maga 60 minutes era led by bootlicking traitors?

    5. Smells like propaganda by the government. They could’ve just released the footage, but the just had to fluff with TV regime propaganda.

Amazing operation overall, and it must be nice for the pilots to actually see what America will do to retrieve them should they be forced to eject over enemy territory.

I hope they declassify more footage, but the odds are bad.

    7. There seems to be a one sided stabilizer type thing on the the tail boom. Haven’t seen this on a Blackhawk so far. Obviously hard to tell by this blurred thermal clip but something about the proportions also doesn’t look HH60 to me. As if it would be to thin and elongated.

    8. „Why is the helicopter obscured?“ – „because we don’t want you to know“

      Great question, great insight, lol.
