As a Norwegian in USA this is why I support the Democratic Party.
It’s a big tent organization that encompasses all the Norwegian Parties that firmly support Social Democracy.
There’s only two parties that aren’t included in that – one far right, and the other is on the far left and identifies as Democratic Socialists.

The thing is, politicians know this. They just want to keep ppl dumb and hungry and jobless bc it is easier to manipulate for their own profit. If you have educated ppl and one of those greedy bs of ppl comes and postulates sth that will only serve them or their own kind, they will probably get ignored, incarcerated, or whatever. Its a tactic, always has been. Its we working class that still give them the benefit of the doubt. They just dont care!
