The legend should use “indefinite” or “unlimited” terms instead of “infinite” terms since it’s physically impossible to serve infinitely.

Virginia amuses me because in theory two people can swap terms for governor for as long as they’re able to get elected.

Has anyone studied what the effects are of these different approaches?
I have never agreed with term limits for publicly voted in executives as long as the legislative branch has the sole power to tax and appropriate funds.
I honestly think a popular executive should maintain power as long as he is voted in for. I think back to one of America’s best executive’s FDR and he (and the country) really benefited from have the a leader who had the ability to see through long-term plans.
My state of Ohio, no one has attempted a third term at governor in my lifetime. And since the current occupant will end his political career upon completing his term in January, that won’t change.
