      He changed his ways a couple of weeks ago; let’s see him prove he has really changed before it’s used as a mitigating factor for his dangerous crime.

      I firmly believe that anyone who has „changed their ways“ as a response to being found guilty of something is absolutely full of shit. People can obviously change, eventuall. But not this quickly. This lad hasn’t changed, he’s looking for sympathy and if the people in charge had any integrity whatsoever, they would use this clear cut, blatantly obvious opportunity to send a message to other people not to behave like this and put him behind bars.

      But they won’t. They never will and there will be another group of people dead eventually.

      Maybe he needs a lot of time out of the way to work out how people can be „less troubled“?

      I can’t belive they let it go to Childrens Court and not the Circuit Court. Have we learned nothing? For fuck sake.

      So what. He did it & knew the risks. He could just as easily have wiped out innocent people. Actions like these need to have consequences, changing your ways is not a free pass for crimes already committed.

      Between being in hospital and attending funerals, I doubt he’s had any time to go about his normal business.
