ICE plans to spend at least $1M on Boston Dynamics SPOT robot dogs to boost officer safety. This follows a $16.7M contract for electric shock gloves, showing ICE’s growing investment in advanced robotics and tech for enforcement operations.
The move highlights rising use of robotic tools in federal agencies.

Aren’t Boston Dynamic Robots incredibly expensive? Seems to me this is more of Boston Dynamics lucking out with a government contract.

Better start learning how to make EMPS, and maybe buying a few cattle prods.

When people ask me why are you so anti-AI… it’s this. Because this is how it’s going to be used more than anything. To police dissent. To persecute people. To take the artist out of art.
It won’t be used to create a utopia and allow us to work less.. it’ll be used as a way to crack down on the masses and make us work harder.

Nice, gunna be an easy way to drain their resources, forcing them to dip into more money that would benefit people. Because we all know those robots will be targeted but I wouldnt doubt for a moment that they will trying to get people with assault of a federal officer when they destroy it.

This is LITERALLY the worst episode of black mirror.

How long before one of those kills an American citizen. The robot I mean, not the ICE officer.

I am absolutely against technology being used in this way and MY tax dollar going towards it. I guarantee that if there is a dust up over this, Trump will claim that the money came from his generous donors. This is how the government is taken away from us. If we’re not the ones paying for it, why should we get a say?
The first person harmed by one, with no recourse because it was an AI robot, is going to cause such a protest.
They better cut this out before they really have a problem.

I can’t wait until we’re done with these nazi thugs. We’ve let this go too far as a nation and should be embarrassed.

It’s going to be absolutely hilarious when the Dems retake the House and possibly the Senate in the fall and these brownshirt thugs get dragged into hearings to justify these purchases and are forced to terminate contracts.

Boston Dynamics’ does not allow their robot dogs to be weaponized.
It’s in their contract.
If you see images of a robot dog with a weapon, that one is not theirs.

Abolish ICE. Any politician who supports the gestapo needs to be voted OUT, regardless of party.
