For a guy who says we don’t need anything from Canada, Trump seems pathetically desperate to be wanting a response from its PM

    2. Make maximalist demands, then make outlandish statements and personal attacks, then extract some minor concession, and moved on to the next issue. Rinse and repeat.

I suggest checking out the tweet from earlier today from Aaron Rupar that’s just a scroll of Trump’s Truth Social posts today. It’s legitimately insane

This is like one of a hundred posts he (or Natalie Harp) have made today. He just retweets (or retruths) stuff he likes, which are pretty much all batshit

    4. He has to be doing this for his MAGA base. There is no other reason. It doesn’t rattle Carney, and only makes ordinary Canadians more revolted by the White House freak show. He’s feeding red meat to his mob.

    5. Trump really seems to be having a full on meltdown today. Bond yields are sky high, oil reserves are getting low and interest rates are currently more likely to go up than to stay as they are. Turns out running a government like a child may eventually catch up with you

    6. This is one of the earlier Trump’s social media [sharts](https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/117225700476536773)

      >*I do this for our Country, not myself. I’ve made Hundreds of Billions of Dollars on Stocks, and many other type Holdings, for the U.S.A., not myself, and all I do is get criticized by the Radical Left Dumocrats. Very unfair, but what can you do! President DONALD J. TRUMP*

So Carney is basically the worlds most famous bureaucrat on one side of the equation and Trump admitting to manipulating the market for gains on the other. How do you play chess with a pigeon? You know they are just going to knock over all the pieces and crap all over the place and chirp loudly because they don’t understand the game. I think I would have quit if that was what I needed to deal with every day.

Just have to have a global shunning of Americans and go back to similar to Covid times. Americans arent allowed to travel to any participating country, send home diplomats, halt non essential trade.

Call us when you figure your shit out.

Not a bad idea. We should have all elected leaders just duke it out on the ice.

I like our chances against President Bonespurs.

Trump seems happy to hide behind AI-induced psychosis when things aren’t going his way, and apparently Americans don’t mind.

It’s not so much that his meltdowns affect us, but the absolute absence of any sort of pushback against the madness is what reinforces the need to decouple from the US. As long as his inner circle and donors are skimming billions from the chaos and Americans are eating up the desperate deflections there is no point in even attempting to negotiate. If this is what’s accepted as being the White House and their foreign policy, then we accept that reality and don’t pretend we’re just „riding a storm“.

I notice on carney gloves it says canada. On trumps it says trump  that tells you he’s doing things for himself not for the country
