    3. No, this is not every river on Earth. This is an algorithm that takes topography and draws where it thinks river valleys are located. It works well for areas where the topography is formed by fluvial erosion and the climate is wet. However, the algorithm will draw valleys in deserts where there isn’t any and there was never a river, as it draws river valleys in the middle of sand dunes.

      Does this include every wadi? I thought Saudi Arabia didn’t have permanent rivers.

      Water flowing down every elevation on Earth, forming rivers that hypothetically may occur if every high point of elevation discharged enough water to do so. Also, don’t worry about erosion.

    6. This is really cool!! Also, people who are saying it’s AI are lowkey just wrong, i can clearly see many famous rivers in there.

      Amazing map! I’ve used these data sets a lot but I’ve never seen it on a globe. Well done.
