    1. Looks good. Quite unconventional but the carbonader themselves looks quite good.

If you served this plate with rice and corn to it, you’d be kicked out of Denmark, immediately. But the krenbinet looks good, so you get a pass. Good job.

Would say the maise doesn’t fit but hey, the krebinet looks so edible from here

Remember the potato chips to dip in the brun sovs. I know it’s more a Christmas tradition, but any time brun sovs is made, potato chips should be there too.

Karbonader is always a solid dinner choice!

Naturally, rice and corn is weird, and brun sovs is definitely a choice (the wrong one).

Reminds me of Solvangen in the US where they have a festival where they eat medisterpølse with æbleskiver.

I know you don’t like peas, but this is how you’re supposed to eat it: https://www.valdemarsro.dk/karbonader/

    6. I love it and make it often. I’m a little challenged though because my one granny made „karbonader“ and the other made „krebinetter“. The secret is good pork meat. I use nice eco meat for karbonader, as it’s basically just a patty of ground pork.

We always have them with smørsovs (just melted butter) and keep brun sovs for the frikadeller.

Other then the brun sovs missing you should added potatos instead of rice.

Where is the sauce 😭 Just need the sauce but looks so delicious

    10. 10 points to your mother, just for naming them carbonader, and not krebinetter, carbodeller or crebinader.

    11. Tbh I grew up with karbonader being served with rice and like a red tomato based sauce or bearnaise. My family is from Jutland and my dad grew up with his dad being a potato farmer, so kinda weird we always had it with rice I guess?

Anyway I love karbonader, you’re making me crave them now 😩 My mum’s ones are so nice and crispy!

    12. The Karbonade looks very appetizing in itself! Very good job!
The sides though… You made a decision based on what you had on hand and I respect that, but it sure is cursed.

Well, Karbonaden looks fine – the rest however, rice and corn? That is disturbing… very disturbing… 😅

Was gonna say, where’s the sauce! It’s feels wrong not to see it 😁

    15. If you want to spice it up a bit….!!!
I started putting bacon around the meat…. It all get the taste of bacon but though normally on the grill

55 yr old Dane here. Living in Denmark. Karbonader is just about the only Danish meal that my mother just never made. She was a very innovative cook and made new dishes 200 times a year, but karbonader was just never served. I have no idea what this is supposed to be like.

    17. Rice is in my world view perfectly fine for karbonader. And afterwards you hopefully waterboarded the plate in sovs

      That’s 200 points for Canada!

Also, to add a little extra, throw on a slice of cheddar cheese. Don’t tell my fellow Danes!
