    1. Almost certainly the launches were in self defense of the launcher. BUKs have been documented to be able to intercept GMLRS and GLSDB, but as we can clearly see it is far from guaranteed.

    2. That BUK was practically ripple firing. Very likely trying to shoot down the GMLRs missiles, since the direction matches

      Interesting footage. There is a cut of a couple of seconds between the BUK firing and the GMLRS landing which makes me think that the BUK wasn’t protecting itself from the missiles being fired at it. Maybe it was engaging another target that was used by the Ukrainians to bait out a shot and the drone was surveilling in the area the BUK was expected to be and quickly call in the a strike on the SAM. But it does look like the drone had the BUK identified before it launched its first interceptors so maybe this is just after it re-positioned. Does anyone know what section of the front this was on?
